General Terms and Conditions of AdventureRooms Solothurn operated by DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH

1. Conclusion of Contract

Reservations may be made via the booking form on the AdventureRooms Solothurn website or by email at solothurn@adventurerooms.ch. A reservation becomes binding only after it has been confirmed by AdventureRooms Solothurn via email. By making a reservation, participants acknowledge and accept these General Terms and Conditions.

2. Services

The services provided by AdventureRooms Solothurn are defined by the descriptions published on our website. Any special requests or additional agreements shall only become part of the contract if they have been expressly confirmed in writing by the booking office.

The services of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH begin upon the participants’ arrival at the AdventureRooms venue. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and ensuring timely arrival.

Each group is assigned a specific time slot, and the room is prepared accordingly. If participants arrive late, they may lose their right to the booked service. In such cases, no replacement service or compensation will be provided.

3. Prices and Payment Terms

Event prices are published online in the “Book” section of our website or agreed individually for larger groups. Unless otherwise stated, all prices are quoted per person in Swiss Francs (CHF).

The prices valid on the date of the event shall apply. In the event of a no show without cancellation at least 48 hours before the scheduled booking, a fee may be charged. Any changes to the number of participants must be communicated at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking.

4. Number of Participants and Minimum Age

The maximum number of participants per game is 12 unless otherwise agreed in advance.

The minimum age for participation at AdventureRooms Solothurn is 9 years. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

AdventureRooms experiences may not be suitable for individuals who suffer from claustrophobia, panic attacks, discomfort in confined or dark spaces, or similar conditions.

5. Conditions of Use

Participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the participants or, in the case of minors, their legal guardians.

Participants are fully liable for any damage they cause to the premises, equipment, or installations.

Photography and video recording of any kind inside the AdventureRooms experience are strictly prohibited.

Participants must follow all instructions provided by the Game Master at all times.

The copying, reproduction, or recreation of puzzle concepts, game elements, or puzzles in whole or in part at another location is prohibited without the prior written consent of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH.

Mobile phones, tablets, and similar electronic devices are not permitted inside the game rooms and must be left in the reception area before the game begins.

6. Changes to Bookings or Cancellation

Once a legally binding contract has been concluded in accordance with Section 1, changes to bookings or transfers to another date are only possible if requested at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking and subject to availability.

Refunds will only be granted if the cancellation is made at least 48 hours before the scheduled game start time.

7. Program Changes and Event Cancellation by AdventureRooms Solothurn

DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH reserves the right to make minor modifications to the services offered. Such modifications shall not affect the validity or essential content of the contract.

AdventureRooms Solothurn may occasionally be required to cancel an event or booking. In such cases, participants will be informed as soon as possible and offered an equivalent alternative. If the participant cannot accept the alternative offered, they shall be entitled to a refund of any amount already paid.

No additional compensation for expenses, losses, or damages shall be provided.

AdventureRooms Solothurn reserves the right to refuse admission to participants, groups, or individual group members without further explanation if they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or display inappropriate behavior. This includes failing to pay attention during the explanation of the game rules and safety instructions.

In such cases, no refund shall be granted.

If AdventureRooms Solothurn determines that participants are behaving violently, intentionally damaging property, or failing to comply with the rules explained before the game, the game may be terminated immediately without refund.

8. Force Majeure

If an event must be cancelled due to force majeure, participants shall not be entitled to compensation.

Force majeure includes circumstances that DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH could neither foresee nor prevent, including but not limited to:

• War
• Terrorism
• Political unrest
• Natural disasters
• Nuclear incidents
• Fire damage
• Water damage
• Similar extraordinary events

9. Liability

Participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance coverage.

AdventureRooms Solothurn undertakes to provide the agreed services with due care and professional diligence.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AdventureRooms Solothurn accepts no liability for direct or indirect damages, injuries, death, losses of any kind, disappointment, or similar circumstances arising from participation.

AdventureRooms Solothurn also accepts no liability for services provided by third parties.

10. Data Protection

During gameplay, groups are monitored in real time by a Game Master using video cameras installed within the rooms.

These cameras are used exclusively to monitor progress and provide assistance or hints when necessary.

No video footage is recorded, stored, transmitted to additional screens, or used for any other purpose.

Following the game, Game Masters may offer to take a group photograph on a voluntary basis. With the consent of the participants, such photographs may be be published on the company’s website and social media channels.

11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

The exclusive place of jurisdiction for any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be the registered office of DarkHouse Entertainment GmbH.

Swiss law shall apply exclusively.
