What are AdventurerRooms?
AdventureRooms® offers a "real-life escape game" for groups. The aim is for a team to free itself from a room with locked doors within one hour, using cunning and skill.
What occasions are AdventureRooms suitable for?
Taking part in an AdventureRooms game can be part of a birthday party or a bachelor/bachelorette party. Companies can hold great team-building events with us, teachers can reserve the courses for their classes, and families and groups of friends can experience an exciting adventure and have lots of fun together.
Which dates are still available? How can I book?
You'll find the available dates on the booking page of each game. Some games we offer exclusively for larger groups. For those, just contact us via our contact form.
We are X people and would like to come and play on day Y. Can you make us an offer?
For a game of up to 12 people, please book directly via the booking form of the relevant game. There you'll also find the dates still available. For a group size of 13 people or more, we can possibly put together a combination of different games. Please ask us about this via our contact form.
How can I pay?
At the end of the online booking, the full amount is paid by credit card or TWINT. Vouchers can be redeemed directly in the online store during booking. If that isn't possible, please bring your voucher with you on site.
Are all AdventureRooms the same?
No! All AdventureRooms games in Solothurn and anywhere else in Switzerland are completely different. The only thing they have in common is the basic concept (60 minutes to escape).
How long does one game take?
The standard run lasts a maximum of 60 minutes, plus about 10 minutes each for the introduction and the debrief. At the latest, you'll be "back on the loose" 1 hour 30 minutes after your booked time. A duel between two teams consists of two halves of 30 minutes each, a 20-minute half-time break, and an introduction and debrief that each last about 10 minutes. A duel is therefore usually finished after about 2 hours.
What is a duell?
Duels are possible for certain games. In a duel, two teams of 3 to 6 people compete against each other: Team A starts already in the middle of the course, and the team has to attempt the escape before being caught by Team B, which starts normally. After a half-time break to reset the room, the roles are swapped.
When should we arrive for a game?
It's enough to arrive 2 to 3 minutes before your booked time. The time for the introduction is already included in the slots, and you'll still get the full 60 minutes for the game. Please try not to be late, otherwise we'll have to shorten your 60 minutes so that the next group can start on time.
What is the maximum number of people who can go through the standard games at the same time?
The maximum number of participants is 6 people. With 7 or more participants it gets too cramped, so that as a participant you miss out on many of the puzzles. For 7 to 12 people we therefore recommend the duel mode or booking an additional game. If there are even more of you, we may be able to find another solution. Get in touch about this via our contact form.
What is the maximum number of people who can take part in a duel?
We recommend a maximum of 12 participants, that is 6 people per team. For a higher number of participants we recommend booking two duels or an additional standard course. The ideal group size is 3 to 5.
The number of participants has changed after booking. What should we do?
As long as the maximum number of participants is not exceeded, this is no problem. If more participants come than booked, you can simply let us know at reception. If fewer participants are coming, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance. With fewer participants, the price per person may increase slightly.
Can you also play alone?
No, the AdventureRooms games are a group experience. Many puzzles can't be solved alone either. So find yourself a few companions and book a slot. Together you'll definitely have more fun.
In which languages are the games available?
The AdventureRooms are language-independent and can be solved without any knowledge of German. Other games we currently offer only in German. In certain cases, e.g. for larger company events, we may be able to offer additional languages. Please contact us about this via our contact form.
For what age are the games suitable?
You can play from the age of 16. Teenagers and children between 9 and 15 can go through the course together with adults. Unfortunately, the course is not suitable for younger children. Please understand that we unfortunately cannot look after children during the games, as our staff are occupied during the courses. Of course, an adult can wait with the child on the sofa in the reception room until the course is finished.
Is the course dangerous?
Our courses are not dangerous. No physical exertion (running, climbing, ...) is required either. As long as the rules announced at the start are followed, the courses are no more dangerous than a visit to a restaurant. Of course, tripping or bumping into something is always possible anywhere. Participation is always at your own risk.
Can pregnant women also take part?
Our courses are not dangerous. No physical exertion (running, climbing, ...) is required either. Taking part during pregnancy is therefore possible. Accordingly, we have already had several pregnant participants who completed the course successfully. Here it is especially important that participants stay calm despite the excitement and follow the rules. Participation is therefore always at your own responsibility.
Are there any other restrictions?
The supervisors may exclude intoxicated people from the game. There is no option for looking after children or dogs. Our supervisors need to be able to concentrate on the game. Unfortunately, our games are not suitable for people who have a strong fear of closed rooms or of being chained up. Claustrophobia, on the other hand, is usually not a problem, as the playing rooms are relatively large.
Do you have toilets?
Yes.
Can we take pictures or videos of our adventure?
During the game, mobile phones and cameras are not permitted. After the course, group photos are taken in the course and (with consent) published on our website, Facebook page and our Instagram feed.
I would like to support you (sponsoring, marketing, etc.). Who can I contact?
That makes us very happy, of course! Please write to us via our contact form and we'll get in touch with you.
Unfortunately, I have to cancel an appointment.
That's a shame, of course. Unfortunately, in the case of a cancellation we cannot refund your deposit. If you cancel in time (at least 48 hours before the reserved appointment), you can reschedule the booking once to another date. If you don't want that, the deposit is unfortunately forfeited.
We have a complaint. Where can we get in touch?
We are extremely sorry that we were unable to meet your expectations. Of course, we always want to improve, and so we'd be glad if you describe the problem to us as well as possible, so that together we can look at how to solve it. Please write to us via our contact form.
Can I play a game more than once?
Theoretically, yes. However, it will probably be less fun for you and your fellow players if you already know the puzzles. We do, though, regularly build new games, which you should definitely try out.
